Traveling with kids=priceless
Submitted bylouise rogers
We were traveling from Chicago to LA. After being served a nice meal, my son had to take a trip to the bathroom. He was gone for over 5 minutes, kinda long for him…then the sign went on.
“Fasten Seat Belts” I was looking down the aisle, hoping to see him walking back, but no sign of him. Then I wondered if I should get up and tell him to ‘hurry up’, but thought I’d get in trouble. Scanning quickly for an attendant, and wondering what to do, I put on my belt cause the ride was getting bumpy. Just as I was going to get up, here came my son, walking down smiling. “Hey, everything OK?”
“Yep” was his reply.
“What took so long?” I asked, “and put on your seatbelt.”
“Well, I was done with the bathroom, washing my hands, and THE SIGN came on.”
“What sign?” I asked.
“Return to seat” he said. “I was done, was washing my hands, and went back to the toilet. I thought maybe there was a camera in here, and I did something wrong, or maybe I didn’t wash good enough or something.”
I started cracking up, I’m glad he figured out to come back to where we were all sitting! He was about 10 at the time, very obedient child!
